What is a finding aid?
Finding aids describe unique collections by providing information on their creation, historical background, and contents. They can be brief summaries or detailed descriptions and inventories. A collection guide includes details about how the materials were produced, their context, dates, topics, quantity, and organizational structure.
About the Heritage and Research Center at Saint Mary’s:
The Heritage and Research Center at Saint Mary’s (HARC) newly constructed archives were established to carry forward the legacy of the sisters. The Center arranges, describes, preserves, and makes available historical materials related to women religious and their sponsored ministries, facilitating academic research and education in both physical and digital formats.
