Biographical

The Sisters of the Divine Savior, also known as the Salvatorian Sisters, are a dedicated community of Roman Catholic nuns based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their mission is to share the love and kindness of Jesus with everyone they encounter.

Founded in 1888 in Tivoli, Italy, by Blessed Francis Mary of the Cross Jordan and Blessed Mary of the Apostles, the Sisters are part of the broader "Salvatorian Family," which includes vowed religious men and lay members who collaborate to promote the Catholic faith and support those in need.

In Milwaukee, the Sisters focus on serving vulnerable populations through various ministries, including education, healthcare, social work, and justice initiatives. They are the sponsors of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School (DSHA), an all-girls Catholic school that embodies Salvatorian values of justice and community improvement.

Additionally, they operate Hadley Terrace Senior Apartments to provide safe, affordable housing for seniors and advocate against human trafficking by raising awareness and supporting survivors. Their ministries also include spiritual direction, English tutoring, and jail ministry, reflecting their commitment to meet the diverse needs of the community in Milwaukee and beyond.
