Bernard Murray, Sisters of Charity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Sister, -1900

Biographical

Bernard Murray, number 10, was born in Dublin, Ireland, and entered Philadelphia on August 14, 1839, at the age of 25. She was part of the second group to go to Dubuque, working as a convent cook and a community shoemaker. In 1868, she opened a shop in McGregor, Iowa, and later served at St. Mary in Iowa City. She passed away on February 21, 1900.
