Scope and Contents

This issue of the Missionary Catechist highlights Sister Mary Patrick and her students praying the Our Father at the New Mexico State School for the Deaf. From Redlands, known as Queen of the Missions, the Missionary Sisters teach 5,078 public school children and 432 adult CCD teachers. The college students and children enjoyed a vacation school, and high school religion classes celebrated First Communion. The sisters focus on outreach to nearby communities, aiming to effectively teach religion and communicate Christ to Catholic children in public schools.
