Scope and Contents

The Sisters of the Divine Savior Collection contains the archives and records of the Sisters of the Divine Savior (Salvatorians), an international Congregation founded in 1888 and headquartered in Rome, whose Sisters have ministered in 27 countries scattered over five continents. The archives and records begin with the Sisters’ arrival in the United States in 1896 and document their lives and ministries beginning in Wisconsin, then growing and spreading to many other states in the country, and their missionary efforts in Africa, South America, Asia, and the Middle East.
