Sisters of Saint Casimir Collection
Scope and Contents
The Sisters of Saint Casimir Collection contains the archives and records of the Sisters of St. Casimir since 1907, including ministries and missions in the United States, Argentina, and a strong connection with Lithuania. The collection also includes Mother Maria's cause for sainthood: In 2010, the Congregation of Saints in Rome proclaimed Mothe Maria Kaupas “Venerable Servant of God.” Sisters of St. Casimir remain active in social justice in the southwest side of Chicago. Several of the Sisters have received high acclaim for art and music.
