Scope and Contents

The Sisters of the Most Precious Blood contains the documents, records and other materials dating from our 1845 foundation in Steinerberg, Switzerland and subsequent 1870 foundation in the United States in Piopolis, Illinois. The archives holds materials that reflect our history, our ministries, the spirit of our congregation, and our charism of reconciliation through 2024. The Collection also includes materials related to the mission and ministry to the English-speaking schools founded in Finland , Peru, and Bolivia; a remarkably complete collection of eccelestiastial art production including tools, administrative records, patterns, photo documentation, and finished artworks.
