Scope and Contents

This folder contains the "Corporate Stance Statement" documents outlining the company's position against human trafficking from 2007 to 2018. It includes materials used to obtain approval from the sisters for the corporate stance, notes from the Committee Against Human Trafficking spanning 2006 to 2018, and a newspaper article published in 2015 related to the company's efforts and stance on combating human trafficking.

Scope and Contents The Fall 2009 issue of Servite Sisters Today highlights the growth of “Servite Lay Groups”, especially the Secular Servites (10,000–15,000 members worldwide) and the newer Servite CoJourners . Sister Mary Lucy Daniels shares stories of early nursing and the 1918 influenza epidemic with UW–Madison nursing students. The Sisters intensify efforts against human trafficking, purchasing public awareness ads and supporting anti-trafficking initiatives. In “Where Is the Flute?”, Sister Theresa Sandok urges continued advocacy for the vulnerable. Community life stories, including local outreach and personal reflections, round out the issue.
